220 color photos by David Hawker. His photo plates are large and crystal clear with the
truest of coloration. Tribute must be given to the publisher as well for the faithful
reproduction of these photos and the high quality of paper used. While each chapter may be
considered a classic reference of that particular chapter, I especially found valuable the
chapters on hackles, feathers, dyeing, curing/preserving. The organization of this book is
another strong point. One may find quickly any item in the highly detailed appendix as
well as the most complete table of contents and index. This tome should be a basic
reference for any level of expertise of flytying.
