Big Horn Shrimp |
|
| hook | curved shrimp or scud hook |
| hook size(s) | 14-16 |
| thread | orange or red |
| body | use orange, peach or pink dubbing |
| tail | red squirrel or deer hair |
| rib | use fine copper wire |
| shellback | cut 1/8 inch strip off bread sack, tie over back |
| weight | small lead wire |
notes: Don't know if you have this or not. It works great for me. Wrap small lead wire on hook to help it sink. Block lead on both ends with thread. Tie on tail. Tie on ribbing wire, then plastic strip. Put dubbing on heavy. Pull over plastic strip. Wrap ribbing and tie off. Pull some dubbing down to give the appearance of legs. |
