notes: The caddis larva makes a case for protection. The caddis peeks out the top. The materials to make this case are small grains of sand or stone from the stream bed. Each stream has a unique supply that you can collect and use as the body over of your caddis case. I collect samples from various streams. Each case has a unique look reflected in the material collected. The case also adds weight therefore you don't need to weight the nymph with beads or lead wire. |
